Terms & Conditions

1. Identification and nature of the service
SuperMae.ai (“SuperMae”, “we”, “our”) is operated by Graceful Tomorrow Lda., a company incorporated in Portugal under NIPC 519376528, with registered office at Rua das Torres, n.º 9, 2.º Dto., 2610-175 Alfragide, Portugal.
The service consists of an AI virtual assistant on WhatsApp that helps busy parents organise their children's school life and activities.
The service is currently in early access and is provided free of charge during this phase.
2. Early access
SuperMae is in early access. By using the service, you acknowledge and accept that:
- The service is under active development and may contain errors, failures, or unexpected behaviour
- Features may be changed, added, or removed without prior notice
- The service may be discontinued at any time, with or without prior notice
- There is no obligation of continuity, technical support, or maintenance
- You are using an early-access service under active development, not contracting a professional service
3. Disclaimer of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by Portuguese and European law, Graceful Tomorrow Lda. assumes no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to:
- Missed, duplicated, or incorrectly reported school events
- Errors in AI data extraction or interpretation
- Failures in WhatsApp or email message delivery
- Temporary or permanent service interruptions
- Loss of stored data
- Decisions or actions taken based on information provided by the assistant
- Consequences of unreported or incorrectly reported school absences
The service is provided free of charge during the early-access phase. By using it, you accept that you do so entirely at your own risk.
4. SuperMae is not professional advice
SuperMae is a family organisation tool. It does not replace:
- Direct communication with schools, teachers, or educators
- Medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice
- Parental judgement on matters relating to children's safety or wellbeing
- Any certified professional service
You should always verify important information directly with the original source.
5. AI accuracy
SuperMae uses artificial intelligence to extract information from emails, messages, and documents. The AI may make mistakes, including incorrect dates, wrong attribution of events to children, or failure to detect relevant information. AI-generated responses may contain inaccurate or incomplete information. You should not rely solely on SuperMae for critical information.
6. Acceptable use
By using SuperMae, you agree to:
- Provide truthful information about your family
- Not use the service for illegal or unauthorised purposes
- Not attempt to access other families' data
- Not abuse the service (mass messaging, attempting to manipulate the AI)
- Understand that you are using an early-access service under active development
7. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you confirm that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
To personalise the service, SuperMae remembers lasting facts you share in conversation — dietary choices, pantry contents, family routines, kids' likes and dislikes, and standing preferences — and uses them to tailor meals, reminders and suggestions to your family. This is part of providing the service; what is remembered, the legal basis, and how to correct or delete it are described in the Privacy Policy (“Personalisation”). Health and medical information is never captured this way.
8. Parental consent
By adding your children, you confirm that you have parental authority or legal guardianship and that you consent to the processing of minors' data within this service, as provided for in GDPR Article 8 and Portuguese Law 58/2019.
9. Changes and discontinuation
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time during the early-access phase. Where feasible, we will provide reasonable advance notice. You retain your rights under GDPR, including data portability (see the Privacy Policy). These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Cancellation and data deletion
You may stop using the service at any time by simply ceasing to send messages. To delete all your family data, you can:
- Quick path (self-serve via WhatsApp): send the message “delete everything” to SuperMae on WhatsApp. For safety against accidental deletion: each parent receives an email confirmation link valid for 72 hours; after the last confirmation, a 24-hour cooling-off period opens during which you can cancel. Full details on the Data Deletion page.
- Manual alternative: email privacy@supermae.ai. We will fulfil the request within GDPR statutory windows (without undue delay and within one month).
Either way, after execution your data is removed from primary storage immediately; our cloud infrastructure provider's automated backups age out within 35 days under its standard retention policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and the European Union, including the GDPR and Portuguese Law 58/2019. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
